The payment is OK, but an error message is displayed, and the reservation is not added

If you see a message indicating “You are back to the reservation page, but it seems that no payment has been made.”, please follow the steps below.

1. Double-check that the payment has been a successful payment. You should see this in your payment gateway dashboard.

Asynchronous notification

Whenever the payment gateway integration allows it, we have developed our payment gateway integrations to use the asynchronous notification. It is a server-to-server call, sometimes called “webhook call”: the payment provider calls a specific URL on your website to inform of the payment status. It means that even if your client closes the tab, HBook gets the status of the payment and updates the reservation status, sends the automatic emails, etc.

If the payment was successful, but the reservation is still with “Processing” status in HBook, and you see a pop-up message starting with “You are back to the reservation page, but it seems that no payment has been made.”, it means that HBook did not receive the payment status information.

2. In Plugins, do you have a “Maintenance/Coming soon” plugin active? Please disable the maintenance mode and test again. For the webhook call to be received, it is necessary that the URL is accessible.

3. In Settings > Permalinks, the permalinks structure should be set to “Post name” (%post_name). For HBook to catch this call, it is necessary that the permalink structure uses the post’s name.

4. Please check that you have followed the instructions given in the article related to your Payment gateway.
