I need to keep an accommodation type for admin-only purposes

🤔 Problem

I have an accommodation type that I’d like to keep hidden from the front end while retaining the ability to add reservations manually through the back end.

🌱 Solution

HBook does not provide a built-in “Admin only” option to hide an accommodation type from the front end while keeping it available for manual reservations. However, this can be achieved by adjusting the accommodation type’s opening date settings.

1. Create your accommodation type. Let’s name it “My hidden accommodation”. Set up the occupancy settings, booking rules, and rates.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the settings and locate the Override default opening dates section.

3. Adjust the opening date settings to ensure the accommodation never appears in front-end search results. For example, you can set an advanced notice of 365 days and a maximum stay of 11 months.

With these settings, the accommodation will never be available in front-end search results because the required advance notice exceeds the maximum permitted stay.
