How to sync HBook with HomeAway or VRBO?

Please check this article from VRBO to identify where to find HomeAway/VRBO settings for the import/export of the calendar https://help.vrbo.com/articles/How-do-I-import-my-iCal-or-Google-calendar

1. Once logged in to Calendar > Reservations > Import/Export, follow the instructions of the section “To Export your HomeAway calendar” of the help article given above. Copy the URL given by HomeAway. In HBook > iCal sync, click on “New calendar”, enter a name for it (“Apartment 101 HomeAway” for example), paste the URL and click on “Add”.

We recommend unchecking the box, so you exclude “Tentative bookings” and only include confirmed reservations received on HomeAway.

2. In the same HBook page, click on “Get URL” and copy the URL given by HBook for that accommodation.

3. Back to Calendar > Reservations > Import/Export, follow the instructions of the section “To Import an external calendar” of the VRBO help article given above and paste the HBook URL.

We highly recommend the following setting for the synchronization to work properly:

• in HBook > iCal sync > Import settings, set “Exclude blocked dates from the import” to “Yes”.

• in HBook > iCal sync > Export settings, set “Include blocked dates in the export” to “Yes”.

• if you have any date that you need to block (for example, for painting work), please do so from HBook > Reservations > Block accommodation. Thanks to the iCal sync, it will automatically be blocked in HomeAway/VRBO calendar.
