How to sync HBook with Gîte de France?

Step by Step to sync HBook with “Gîte de France”

1. Go to the Module Propriétaire of Gîte de France (ITEA).

2. In Mon compte > Export planning, you will find the URLs of your calendars. Copy the URL of the calendar of the accommodation you wish to sync.

3. In HBook > iCal sync, click on “New calendar”, enter a name for it (“Apartment 101 Gîte de France” for example), paste the URL and click on “Add”.

You have set the synchronization one way, from Gîte de France to HBook. It means anytime you receive a reservation on Gîte de France, it will be imported into HBook automatically.

3. In the same HBook page, click on “Get URL” and copy the URL given by HBook for that accommodation.

4. Contact Gîte de France and ask them to add your HBook calendar URL to import it into “Gîte de France” calendar. You can not do this yourself from the Module Propriétaire ITEA, but “Gîte de France” will have no issue to do it for you, since it is the way to proceed.

Once done, the sync is set up both ways between your “Gîte de France” calendar and HBook calendar.

We highly recommend the following setting for the synchronization to work properly:

• in HBook > iCal sync > Import settings, set “Exclude blocked dates from the import” to “Yes”.

• in HBook > iCal sync > Export settings, set “Include blocked dates in the export” to “Yes”.

• if you have any date that you need to block (for example, for painting work), please do so from HBook > Reservations > Block accommodation. Thanks to the iCal sync, it will automatically be blocked in Gîte de France calendar.
