How to update HBook back-end translations?

We provide ourselves translations for French and Spanish. The back-end translations are updated at each new release. However, if you have HBook translated in another language, we may not have updated translations available. Translations are provided by HBook users who generously share their translations.

If you need to update a translation for HBook back-end, you will need to have Poedit and to follow the instructions below.

1. Download and install Poedit, if you do not have it installed.

2. Open with Poedit the .po translation file for your language (for example: it_IT.po).

   • If you haven’t customized the translations: You will find this file in the folder wp-content/plugins/hbook/languages/admin-language-files.

   • If you have customized your translations, you should have saved them in wp-content/languages/plugins.

3. Click on Translations > Update from POT file. Select the file hbook-admin.pot that you will find in the folder wp-content/plugins/hbook/languages/admin-language-files.

4. Translate the strings that need to be translated or updated.

5. Save again to update the .po and .mo files.
