Can I ask for full payment and charge the security bond later?

Yes, you want to ask for the payment for the entire reservation, with the security bond to be charged at a later stage.

Setting up HBook Payments

In HBook > Payments, follow these steps to configure HBook correctly:

1. Select that customers have to pay a deposit in order to book an accommodation

2. Set that the security bond has to be paid, and enter the wanted amount

3. Set the deposit to “percentage”, and make sure to enter “100” as the value

4. Set that the security bond does not have to be paid with the deposit

Setting up Stripe for payments

In HBook > Payments > Stripe settings, you will choose to “Store payment method”, which allows you to charge to customer later.

Charging the security bond

To charge the customer for the security bond later, this can be done directly in the Reservations page in HBook. From the “Edit payments” pop-up window, you can enter the security bond amount, select ‘Stripe’ as the payment method, and click the “Charge” button.
