When a new release is available for HBook Connect plugin, you will receive an email notification, unless you have unsubscribed from these update notifications.

Updating HBook Connect
There are 3 ways to update the plugin:
Whatever method you choose, you should back up your website. It is not compulsory, but backing up your entire installation (entire directory structure + database) periodically is a good idea, especially before making any updates to themes, plugins, core files, etc. Learn more about backups here.
Automatic update
When a new version of HBook Connect is released, you will see a notification on the plugins page, and you will be able to update in one click thanks to the Update now action.
Upload from the Plugins page
If you do not see the link to update HBook Connect, but you have checked on HBook Connect Changelog that a new version is available, you can upload the zip directly from the WordPress Plugins page.

Go to Maestrel downloads page and download the plugin again. When you download the plugin, you always get the latest version available.

On your WordPress Plugins admin page, click on “Add plugin” and then “Upload plugin”.

Select the hbook-connect.zip file you have downloaded.

You will be asked if you wish to replace the current files with the uploaded files. Confirm that you wish to proceed.
FTP or File Manager update

Go to Maestrel downloads page and download the plugin again. When you download the plugin, you always get the latest version available.

Go to the plugin page and deactivate HBook Connect plugin

On your server, delete the hbook-connect folder, which is located in wp-content/plugins (note that this will not delete the HBook Connect settings since they are stored in your WordPress installation).
If you are using FTP:

Unzip the plugin as you need to get an unzipped hbook-connect folder that can be uploaded on your server later on

Transfer the hbook-connect folder to the wp-content/plugins/ folder on your server. Please make sure you do not modify the name of the folder.
If you are working from your File Manager:

Upload the hbook-connect.zip file into the wp-content/plugins/ folder on your server and extract it

In the Plugins page, find HBook Connect and click Activate Plugin
