Can I redirect the client to a custom "Thank you" page?

You can redirect a customer to a “Thank you” page:

  • at the end of the Reservation process. This is when the customer does the reservation/reservation request on your website.

  • at the end of the payment by link process. This is when your customer followed a Payment link, either to update/add his payment method or to make an online payment.

Why should I use a “Thank you” page?

Having a “Thank you” page is optional. You may wish to use a different page for the last step of the reservation process or after a payment form submission has been successful:

  • to provide additional information that you wish to display only once the reservation is done

  • to display a message to a customer who updated his saved payment method

  • to display specific information after a payment has been made. For example, to explain how the remaining payment will take place, information about your refund policy, etc.

  • to do some tracking as some tools works by page URL flow

Which shortcode do I need to have on the “Thank you” page?

You need to include a [hb_summary] shortcode or block.

How do I change the “Thanks” message that are displayed?

HBook will display different “Thanks message” depending on the situation. Here are the different “Thanks message” that can be configured:

  • when a reservation is finalized without any online payment

  • when a reservation is finalized with a payment (deposit or full amount)

  • when a payment method is added/updated, following a payment link

  • when a payment is done, following a payment link

You can modify these messages in HBook > Text/Translations, in the following sections:

  • in the section “Summary” for thanks messages displayed above and below the Summary, on the reservation confirmation screen.

  • in the section “Payment link form” for payment actions done following a payment link.

Can I create different “Thank you” pages?

  • For the “Reservation confirmation” thank you page: you can create as many “Thank you” page as you wish, as you indicate in the [hb_booking_form] shortcode/bloc itself where the customer should be redirected to the “Thank you” page.

  • For the “Payment link” thank you page, you can only have one, as you can only have one “Payment page” for payment links. You define your payment page in HBook > Payment > Payment link settings, and you need to add in that page a Shortcode / Bloc [hb_payment_link]. It is when adding this shortcode/bloc to your “Payment page” that you specify the page to be used as “Thank you” page.
